Just a shout out to a couple of outstanding students who are headed to college next fall with a WOWT scholarship.  Tracy and I presented the awards to Adam Hilt, a graduating senior at Omaha Burke, and Bryan Odell who graduates from Lincoln East this month.

Both students are interested in a career in broadcasting and their undergraduate work will be close to home.  Adam has earned a full ride to UNO and Bryan is headed to UNL with a major in broadcasting journalism.  Both are bright students with tremendous potential.

From our standpoint it's encouraging to see such talented individuals who may join our profession in the years to come.  I say may because Adam also has thoughts of law school but he will study broadcasting and make that decision after he has a better feel for television.

Bryan has already produced a program on energy that aired nationally on C-Span.  At this point he's fully committed.

Tracy and I also had a chance to meet their parents and teachers.  It's one of the good news stories we like to tell.
