All of the young people you see pictured have the same thing in common. They want a permanent home to live in with loving parents. The Nebraska Heart Gallery is sponsored by Child Saving Institute of Omaha and it was designed to let us see young people in our state who are longing for an adoptive home.
I recently had the privilege of emceeing CSI's first "Christine Parker Memorial Scholarship" luncheon and in the process met an Omaha woman who was moved by a picture she saw on the Nebraska Heart Gallery three years ago. At the time Candy Grush and her husband Graydon already had seven teenagers living in their home and they decided to add another. They adopted Brittany, a teenager who had moved from home to home most of her life.
I spoke with Candy at the luncheon and I've included the interview. The link to the Nebraska Heart Gallery is http://www.nebraskaheartgallery.org/,, the website features young people who are currently hoping for adoption.
Child Saving Institute has served the Omaha metro area since 1982 and the work continues.
Knicely Done!
