Who was the top money-making star of 2008? Well-it depends on who you ask.

Each year Quigley Publishing does a survey, asking movie fans who they think generated the biggest buzz at the box office.

This year, their answer was Will Smith. He had two movies open last year, "Hancock" & "Seven Pounds." But, Smith wasn't quite the top draw at the box office. His movies made a combined $228 million.

Robert Downey Jr. made more than $400 between "Iron Man" and "Tropic Thunder."

And Christian Bale made more than $500 million with "The Dark Knight" alone.

They came in 2nd & 3rd according to fans.

Also making the list of top moneymakers: Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Angelina Jolie, & Shia Lebeouf.

Jim: Pretty good list, but some of these ride the coattails of others--like Shia. What about Brad?

Mal: I figured Reese would be higher. It seems her movies always make $$$. As for Robert Downey Jr-nice to see him turning things around. I LOVED Iron Man & have always thought he was a good actor.

Rusty: Nicole Kidman?Pitt, Clooney? Jim Carrey? We told Rusty Kidman's movie's don't make too much $$$, but she's a great actress--but Rusty doesn't listen to us:-)
