We see it often.
We'll be getting video of a neighborhood or street for a news story and people do one of two things -- they'll gravitate towards the camera and want to know what we're doing or they will avoid us at all cost.
The other day was the latter and this guy had no choice.
We're waiting outside a courtroom ready to get video of a man who will soon learn his fate from a judge regarding a sexual assault case.
The door, where the inmates enter with a deputy's escort, is just a short walk to the courtroom so if we blink -- we might miss the shot.
Because of that, we have our cameras trained on the door no matter who comes through and we roll on it if they are wearing an orange jumpsuit.
Then, the door opens and four cameras are pointed in that direction. Out walks a guy where the color from his face immediately drains. You can tell that he cannot believe there are all the cameras waiting for his court appearance. As he makes the walk, his mind must be racing.
Then he gets some relief. He notices the cameras don't follow and realizes we're not there for him.
A bad day nearly got worse for the guy below. He wasn't on our radar -- but he didn't know it.
