I meant to write about this earlier and it came back to me after Warren Buffett's appearance on "The Office" tonight.

Three weeks ago on the Friday heading into the annual shareholder's meeting for Berkshire Hathaway, I ran into Darren Bornemeier of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He noticed the Oracle of Omaha had put in a new driveway since he was here last.  Buffett went from asphalt to brick and Bornemeier puckered up to the pavement and kissed the driveway.

"I'm thinking with the new surface it will bring me better luck," he said.  “That's my annual good luck charm for my good luck for investing."

I asked him if the ritual has helped.  Darren replied, "No, but I'm banking on this year." 

Two days later, we asked Warren Buffett about it.  He said, "I don't think I want to invest my money with him."
