As I'm write this on Wednesday night, my son is waiting for more experts to analyze his x-ray.  While I was grilling on Saturday, he came to the patio door with a shocked and stunned look on his face.

He told me had swallowed a magnet.

Magnets are dangerous.  I've heard the stories...especially when there are two of them involved.  They can lock together and never move.

I quizzed him about what was involved.  It turns out it wasn't a magnet.  It was from a game where magnets hold together little pieces that look like ball bearings and one of those marble-sized items was in his stomach.

Poison Control and our doctor did a quiz of their own.  They agreed that the item was small enough that it should move through his system without a problem.

Four days later and the object hadn't moved.  Now we're wondering what the next move will be.
