This July, thousands of people will converge on Lincoln for 2010 USA National Games. The event wouldn't happen without the 3,000 Special Olympians. Last week, one of the marketers told me about the plans to bring in the athletes. It will be an organized air drop of sorts. I can't wait to see it. Half of the athletes -- 1,500 of them -- will be a part of the Cessna Citation Airlift. The owners of the planes will donate the ride and the pilots will donate their time in order to fly the athletes to Lincoln. Planes will take off and land every 90 seconds for 12-straight hours. It will be orchestrated precision. Not to mention, what a great way to treat the athletes like VIP's. Brian |
