I came across this blip on Yahoo News today. The president of the Texas Motor Speedway offered a disc jockey at a country music radio station in Dallas $100,000 if he officially changed his name. He had to change it to TexasMotorSpeedway.com for a year. The DJ has 24-hours to decide, You have to hand it to the president of the speedway. He's going to get good promotion on this either way. Would you do it? Can you imagine writing Mr. TexasMotorSpeedway.com on a check? I'm pretty sure my bosses wouldn't allow it! (*****UPDATE*****) The DJ agreed to do it. Terry Dorsey will soon be known as TexasMotorSpeedway.com. He will also get a permanent tattoo that says the same. According to the Sporting News, he talked it over with his wife who convinced him the money was too good to pass up. He plans to go to the courthouse on Thursday, fill out some paperwork to legally change his name and then collect his $100,000 check. |
