My son said this tonight on the eve of Kindergarten Roundup: "I'm ready for bed, Mom.  I have a big day tomorrow."

Mind you, this was much earlier than he usually goes to bed.

As I said in the title of this....I hope he keeps this attitude and excitement for school for years.

***Update***

My son has a great kindergarten roundup.  I asked him who his teachers are and he couldn't remember their names.  He said there were 4 teachers and 1,800 people helping out.

He said the main rule at school is being a good listener.  He informed me that he is, in fact, a good listener.

He said there were a few kids who cried.  He noticed a few parents who did the same.

Overall, he had a fantastic time and doesn't understand why he must wait until August to go back.

Let's hope he keeps that sentiment too.
