When we told my son about his good friend's trip to the hospital recently, he wanted to call him. Naturally, we asked him what he planned on saying hoping that he would offer his well-wishes. Here's how the phone call went: Son: "Hello. Sorry you're sick and had to go the hospital. Are you feeling better?" Friend: "I'm not sick. You must want to talk to my brother." Other Friend: "Hello?" Son: "Hi, it's Braxton. Did you have fun riding in the ambulance?" Eventually he got around to telling him he hopes he feels better but I couldn't help but laugh, knowing he really wanted to hear about the ambulance ride.
