The other day we asked what people got and what they gave for Father's Day this year.  I always enjoy hearing different perspectives.

The usual gifts were included -- ties, gift cards, hats.

The big thing for me is time.  The older I get the more valuable my time becomes.  Not organized time but just hanging out and coming up with things to do together.  I guess it's a matter of letting the muse work.

My favorite response came from Brian Taylor who was playing with his daughter, Nasya, in Elmwood Park on Father's Day.

He told us: "Father's Day to me is carrying on my future and the best of who I am -- providing the best to my kids so they can have a bright future."

It would be hard to say it any better.
