Are voters really suffering fatigue? The election commissioner thinks that is one of the reasons there will be such a low turnout today. 22%. Translation: 1-5 registered voters will cast a ballot in the Omaha city election. Experts believe that such a long presidential campaign last year is causing people to lose interest in who will be the next mayor or council member. The trend hasn't been good for awhile. 50,000 people are expected to vote today. In 2005, only 40,000 people voted. In 2001, it was 60,000.
