Omaha investigators made a gruesome discovery after they were called out to Project Harmony. Now a Heartland mother faces child abuse charges, her son a ward of the state.
According to the police report officers were called out to the non-profit child advocacy center on Tuesday, November 12th after bruises were found on a four year old boy.
The report notes "large bruises" on the back of the boy's neck. When officials more closely examined the boy they found scars on the boy's back, buttocks and legs.
Officers believe the bruises and scars were left after the boy was hit with a belt.
The boy's mother, Lachya Robinson, 22 was arrested for child abuse.
The investigation, arrest, and placement of the boy with the state all occurred the day before his fifth birthday.
